On one line i have $ c = ;
I also have $ SIG{INT} = \&ctrlc; and later on
sub ctrlc { … }
How can i continue the script and skip the STDIN if Ctrl+C is hit?

You could try

CONT:
print “continued”;

sub ctrlc { goto CONT }

You can run the perl script by the following ways:

1. on command prompt type /usr/bin/perl your_script_name and press enter
2. Or you can add the following line to the top of the perl script:
#!/usr/bin/perl

Once you add that line you execute the script by typing fully qualified script_name and press enter. To run a script in the current directory should ./script_name.extension (Unix will not look for the script in the current directory by default).

If the program begin #!/bin/perl then just save it to your user directory, type “chmod +x ” and run it with “./ . If it doesn’t then just save it to your directory and type “perl “.

For more information your host’s administrators should have documentation available, either on-line or elsewhere. You can try typing “perldoc perlintro” at the command line and see what happens.

If you are accessing the computer by telnet then yes I mean the telnet command line. If you are using OpenSSH then you are probably making your administrator happier though.
Look up PuTTY and see if your server supports it.

It has been a while but you want to do something like this:
$my_aa{$key} = $value

you can use a foreach loop to read and set the various key/value variables.

Perl is worth learning, but if you already know php, c, and python there isnt really a point. Anything you could do in perl you could do in those other languages.

oh that’s part of the game well the best thing to do is get a pokemon that can stop it from running which means it knows mean look or block or just have the ability…. i forgot the ability but i hope it helps oh or you can use the master ball you find in the game

Just look on your pokegear map and itll show this creepy looking face and you follow it like latias and latios and others

I bet this is probably a very simple problem but I have been doing some research on it but can not find how to do it, (perhaps it is almost automatically done). But what I want to do is when I have a number come into a function have it converted to its Ascii equivalent charecter. So if I had the number 67 come in I would end up with a “C”.

$char = pack(“C*”, $ascii);

$string = pack(“C*”, @ascii);

e.g.

$char = pack(“C*”, 65);
print $char;
A

$string = pack(“C*”, 68, 82);
print $string;
