The phone doesnt matter. Its your memory card. You can put full lenght movies on your card. I have about 15 Music videos on mine and acouple of tv episodes. So just make sure you at least have a 1GB card.

i have a USB cord that came with the blackberry perl 8100, but when i connect it to the computer and then to the blackberry, it says “USB charging current is not sufficient. Verify that your handheld is connected to a powered USB charging source and that the proper USB driver is installed”- and nothing happens on the computer screen.

There is a file that needs to be installed for USB charging (I believe it is rimusb.sys). If you install the Blackberry software that came with the Pearl, that file should get installed. And plug the device into a USB port on the computer, not a hub. Not enough power.

at the bottom is a sticker, and there is a red line through it. Does it indicate that the battery is defective?

the sticker will turn completely white if it gets damaged by water. there should also be a sticker somewhere on the phone where the battery goes. All cell phones have these stickers so no one can pull something over on the phone companies to get a replacement if it gets damaged by water.

some people would try and say it is defective or something like that if they dropped it in water or it got splashed. without the stickers, there is no way to tell if water was really what damaged the phone.

the sticker is just a way for the company to tell whether or not the phone was damaged by water.

I think the Pearl is better. The T-Mobile Dash is made by HTC, I think. The Pearl does everything you need for less. I don’t even know why people like the Dash over the Pearl. They say it’s the keyboard, but this makes the phone huge. I would go with the Pearl. Good luck!

You highlight where it says attachment, press your menu key (7 dots next to the trackball) and select open attachment. If the attachment does not open, this means that the type of attachment is either not supported or you do not have the BlackBerry attachment service installed on your BlackBerry.

I don’t believe there is an application that does this. You might want to check out sites like Handango.com or Mobihand.com to see. But I haven’t seen anything like this available as of yet.

You will need to first install the Blackberry Desktop Manager software that came with your BB. It should be on a CD. Here is a link to some step by step instructions for installing and syncing.
